The docket
From the first problem to what changed
Four entries, in the order they happened, written from the practice's own record of the work.
Starting point
Preparation advice for tax appointment intake went out by hand from the digital nomad tax advisory, one rewritten email at a time. The wording drifted a little further with each sender.
The problem
For tax appointment intake, the notes drifted out of sync, and people arrived at the first conversation with very different ideas of what was needed.
What we built
One maintained page covers tax year, return category and appointment preference and gives an overview of appointment preparation and the secure document process. Online forms stay limited to initial inquiry details, with sensitive records handled through the approved internal process afterward.

Questions about this case
How long did this work take?
10 working days after content approval, including staff review and handover. The practice approved its own wording before anything was published.
Which plan covers this kind of work?
Every plan. The parts of the build this case used (document intake that starts before the first appointment; a page for every return you prepare) are included on The Front Desk, The Busy Season, The Year-Round Practice.
Did this change anything about the practice's tax work?
No. This was website work: how the site explains the practice and how an inquiry reaches the right person. We are not a tax preparation, tax resolution or accounting firm, and the pages were worded so they never promise a tax outcome. Anything specific to a client's situation stays in a conversation with the practice.
Why is the practice not named?
Case studies on this site describe the kind of practice, its region and its size, never the business name, its logo or its web address. The person quoted agreed to be named with their role.
